This is where Caesar was murdered

Caesar is Avenged!

I have screwed up! I have screwed up big time! I let Lucilius pretend to be me so he is killed instead of me! I should have stopped him! He does not deserve to die! I do! Antony and his army just took him prisoner and are still coming for me. So, I asked Clitus, Dardanius, and Volumnius if they would assist in my suicide and they declined. I did not want them dead so I told them to get out of here. The only one left here is Strato and he said he would hold my sword for me while I avenge Caesar's death. Goodbye to all my blog readers! It has been an honor posting. Brutus... Out.

R.I.P. - Sir Cassius

I have just witnesses something horrifying. We just discovered Cassuis' body. I had good news to bring him! I believed that Octavious had no spirit to fight this battle, so I sent Messala to tell Cassius to make a surprise attack on them. When Titinius returned he discovered that Cassius had killed himself! I guess Titinius was upset about this and also thought I was dead so he killed himself also! Messala never got to deliver the news that I defeated Octavius! I promised myself and others that Cassius will have a respected, distinct funeral. I know that this is all the revenge of Caesar, but I had to keep fighting this battle, and I will even fight a second one!

What if we Lose?

Cassius asked me what is going to happen if we were to the battle. I told him that if we lost, althought suicide is an action that would only be taken by a coward, that is what I would do. There is no way that I would ever be able to return to Rome. Not only would I be hated, but I would be a captive- a prisoner of war and the Roman People would not be happy to see me. After explaining this all to Cassius, we said our goodbye's to eachother. At that point we were both very aware that it was likely that we would never see eachother again, because the battle was just around the corner.

Preparing for War!

We finally made our way to Philippi! I hope that there is something wong with Antony's army because we need to win this! Before anything started, Me and Cassius went and talked to Antony and his other leaders. If we talked things over maybe there would be no battle! Instead of that, we exchanged a lot of cruel insults and smack-talk. This only made the battle happen faster.

Spooked Out!!!

Wow! I cannot believe what I just saw! I was sitting here in my tent reading and I see this white, cloudy figure. Then I realized that it was Julius Caesar! His Ghost! I think I was dreaming but I don't know... It seemed so real! He told me that we are going to meet at Philippi. Before I could say anything he vanished. I think I'm going crazy! This message means a lot to me and it is the only thing on my mind. Right after I woke everyone and made sure the Cassius knows we need to get our armies prepared and march to Philippi!

Fighting with Cassius

Today, Cassius' servant, Pindarus delivered a greeting from him today. Lucilius was down at Cassius' camp and told me some odd news. For some reason Cassius is mad at me but I did not know why. Just then Cassius arrived at my camp along with his soldiers. He was getting all up in my face about turning on him and doing something that he told me not to do. I got Pella in trouble for bribery like he deserved! He made no sense and was really getting me angry. So by then I just about had it with Cassius and I called him out on his flaws and how he has no power over me at all. He failed me when I asked for money and he screwed up a lot more things. It started to get heated up so we moved in my tent and continued to argue. I did not want to fight in front of my army because it would show weakness. Eventually Cassius came to his senses and apologized and started to get annoying so accepted him. Then I told him about how I lost Portia... :(

The Speech

I loved Caesar, but I love Rome more. That was my key point in my speech to the market place this afternoon. The people were on my side! Everything was going great and the initial plan was going well. It was a great feeling knowing that I had won over the people of Rome is such a short time. Whelp, easy come, easy go. Marc Antony delivered a speech following mine and the people of Rome quickly changed sides. He made fun of me. He called me an honorable man so many times that it was clear that he was being facetious. Marc made the people of Rome truely believe in him and now they follow him, they are on his side now. Right after his speech they went on a rampage! They were rioting! And killing! And destroying! And causing so much chaos that I had no clue what to do but run! I fleed Rome and I will see where it goes from here.

D-Day

WE DID IT! It just happened! This is crazy! We made the plan to get Caesar to the capitol and we will ask him for a request that we know he will decline. After he declines, we will stab him. That is exactly what happened. Caesar was stabbed by all of us and I stabbed him last. He looked at me and said "And you? Brutus?" then he died. It was quite sad to be honest, for I was his good friend and all. I made all the conspirators dip their hands in Caesars blood to show the people why we did this. Then Marc Antony came up to me asking why we did it and I told him it is for the good of Rome! I told Antony that he can become one of us. He can help us lead this new Roman Government. Antony gladly shook our hands. Now I am going to talk to the crowd about what just happened, then Antony will speak when I'm done. Here I go!

Let's Do This!

Today was a very odd day. Last night I was in a very deep thought process about the conversation Cassius and me had. I was thinking about it all night into morning and got absolutely no sleep. I have finally decided in my head that Caesar really is a threat to Rome! We cannot trust him at all! I can only imagine what it is going to be like when he becomes King of Rome. Someone must do something about him... I think he might need to be killed! Although this me sound crazy, I am not the only person who thinks this. My servant Lucius handed me a letter that I think is from the people of Rome. They want me to do something about Caesar! A little later some people came over and we discussed how we will conspire against Caesar. I guess the plan is on for tomorrow at 8:00am, I am a little nervous. When they all left, my love, Portia asked me whats up and I knew I could not tell her and she got really upset! Then Caius interupted us. He's apart of the conspiricy too!

Cassius Has A Way...

Today, Cassius and I were enjoying the weather at the race downtown. I felt bad when he first approached me because I know that recently, I have been neglecting my friends; including Cassius. I've had some personal issues and I apologized to him for not staying for the festivities afterwards. Our conversation quickly shifted to Julius Caesar. Julius is to be made leader of Rome soon. Cassius was telling me about how he is not a big fan of Caesar and he kind of made me realize that I'm not either. Cassius really makes me think and he's pretty good at convincing people to do things... weird. The thing that got me confused today was when Casca came over to us and said that Caesar denied the crown three times! This goes against what Cassius was telling me so I'm a bit confused. But it's okay, I told Cassius I would meet him tomorrow so we can talk things over.
